Health Care Workers: You are protecting the public. Is your employer protecting you?

On behalf of everyone at Tesser, Ryan & Rochman, LLP, we want to express our utmost gratitude to all healthcare workers both in New York and across the country for your heroic efforts in combatting Covid-19. We appreciate your tireless work on the front lines in our nation’s battle against the Coronavirus and acknowledge that your sacrifice is not only yours,  but also your families’.

We have been informed by some of our clients who work in the healthcare field that their employers are not complying with local, state, and federal laws relating to employee safety. Some employers are not providing the necessary PPE to help minimize risk of exposure to health care workers, while in other cases, employers are not making reasonable accommodations for employees who have pre-existing conditions or who otherwise are at heightened risk for contracting the Coronavirus. We understand that hospitals are experiencing unprecedented burdens during this crisis. Nevertheless, non-compliance with laws that are designed to provide a safe workplace and protect employees is unacceptable, and places employees, their families, their colleagues, patients, and our society at risk.

We would be happy to answer questions that you might have regarding your employee rights. Send us an e-mail at [email protected] or give us a call at (212) 754-9000.

Thank you again for all that you have done and will continue to do. Our nation owes you a debt of gratitude for your invaluable service.
