Gregory J. Esq.  is the managing partner of Tesser, Ryan, & Rochman, LLP.  Greg

Mr. Ryan’s practice is concentrated in the representation of closely held, entrepreneurial businesses.  He also represents clients in commercial litigation and criminal cases, including clients charged with white collar offenses and serious felonies, in criminal trials in both Federal and State courts.

In his capacity as legal counsel to his corporate clients, Mr. Ryan represents a wide range of business enterprises in diverse industries. Mr. Ryan often serves as outside “general counsel” for these business clients and provides practical legal advice and counsel on issues including corporate and transactional matters, as well as assisting clients with the daily legal issues faced by businesses.  These issues include matters such as dispute advocacy and resolution, structuring transactions, negotiation of contracts and business agreements, intellectual property protection, and real estate and employment matters. Mr. Ryan represents businesses in mergers, reorganization and restructuring, acquisitions, and financial, banking, and real estate transactions. Mr. Ryan has represented business clients in transactions in the tens of millions of dollars range, as well as assisting business their formation and organization.  Mr. Ryan also often serves as personal counsel to business owners, persons in the entertainment field, and entrepreneurs, assisting them in their professional and personal legal matters.

Mr. Ryan litigation and criminal defense practice is committed to providing aggressive advocacy for his clients, whether they are in a civil commercial dispute or facing serious felony charges.  He has appeared in several states in both Federal and State courts on behalf of clients and was selected to Top 100 trial lawyers by The National Trial Lawyer. 

Mr. Ryan is an honor’s graduate of Fordham University and the Fordham University School of Law.  Prior to his association with Tesser, Ryan, & Rochman, LLP he served a judicial internship with the Hon. Frederic B. Lacey, United States District Judge in New Jersey.  Mr. Ryan was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal and served as a member of the Board of Advisors, Fordham University at Lincoln Center.

Mr. Ryan is a member of the New York State Bar Association (member of Business Law, Commercial and Federal Litigation and Criminal Justice sections) and has lectured for the New York State Bar Association on the topic of professional limited liability companies and spoken to various professional associations of formation and management of professional practices.  He also served as chair of the Business Law program for the National Law Day Program sponsored by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, lectured on foreign entities conducting business in the United States for the New York City Chamber of Commerce, and hosted workshops on starting a business for the National Innovation Workshop sponsored by the United States Department of Energy and the New York City Partnership.  He also has co-authored numerous articles on a wide range of topics.

Mr. Ryan is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the Federal Courts of both states, the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
