Randall T. Tesser is an associate attorney at Tesser, Ryan & Rochman. Mr. Tesser is an experienced advocate for attorneys and other licensed professionals. This includes representing professionals facing disciplinary investigation or charges, reinstatement to practice, licensing and initial admission to practice, and character hearings. Mr. Tesser also advises professionals regarding the business side of their practice, including practice management, sale and purchase of a practice, employment matters, and partnership disputes.
Mr. Tesser also represents clients in resolving business disputes and trust and estate planning and administration, and acts as a mediator.
Mr. Tesser is an active member of the New York State Bar Association (“NYSBA”). He serves as an appointed member of NYSBA’s Committee on Professional Discipline. He is a member of the executive committee of NYSBA’s Dispute Resolution Section, where he is a chair of its Ethics Committee. Mr. Tesser is an Editor-In-Chief for One on One, a publication of NYSBA’s General Practice Section. In addition, Mr. Tesser is also a member of the American Bar Association and its Center for Professional Responsibility, the New York County Lawyers’ Association and its Professionalism and Professional Discipline Committee, and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. The ABA Center for Professional Responsibility awarded Mr. Tesser the Rosner & Rosner Young Lawyer Professionalism Award.
Mr. Tesser is a frequent speaker in the fields of legal ethics and professional responsibility, having presented for the numerous public and private organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers’ Association, the Civil Trial Practice Institute, and as a guest lecturer at Cornell University and the New York City College of Technology. Mr. Tesser is an annual presenter at the Fee Dispute Arbitration Training program for New York State’s Joint Committee on Fee Disputes & Conciliation pursuant to Part 137.
Mr. Tesser obtained a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2017 where he also received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Tesser has played music professionally as a drummer across the country, including a performance at Carnegie Hall.
