Senior Associate Timothy Nolen Presents at the NYCLA

On Friday, December 16, 2016, TRR Senior Associate Timothy Nolen presented the CLE “Ethics, Civility and the Newly-Admitted Attorney” at the New York County Lawyers Association.  The presentation was part of a two-day event primarily for newly-admitted attorneys making the transition from law school into the practice of law.  Mr. Nolen’s nearly two-hour presentation covered a number of “need to know” topics for newly-admitted attorneys, including the structure of New York State disciplinary enforcement, the basics of handling of escrow accounts, essential rules of practice, and sanctions for misconduct.  Mr. Nolen also spoke at length about the “hot topic” of civility in the practice of law, and the interplay between civility, the Rules of Professional Conduct, and zealous advocacy.
